ClearContext

I'm using a program called ClearContext.  What's it for?  I use Outlook in the office.  And I probably get 1,000 messages per day.  My problem is that I can use only about 8-10 rules (unlike in OE).  So where do you get it?  Go to the site at http://www.clearcontext.com/.

So far, it has served me alright.  I haven't quite mastered it yet.  It basically filters either by sender or subject header.  It's not quite as sexy as I wanted it to be.  For one, I haven't figured out how to make it autoforward certain messages to others.  And I'm not sure how well it works with the Outlook rules.  From what I've observed, it seems to take priority over Outlook rules.  Unfortunately for me, sometimes a particular e-mail deserves to be in multiple personal folders.

Still, if only because it saves me from a daily inbox overflow, I'm good with it.

  1. I have been using it for a week, and I pretty happy with it, my inbox has less message. And the best thing is I can follow email history, who sent the first email, when, how many reply's I have received, etc.

The only thing I will like it the software is to list all attachments received in a thread, or all attachments from a person/email - sometime I need to quickly find an attachment that a colleague sent me, few day/week, and if all attachment were at one place, it will save me time.

In Summary, my inbox is clearner, i'm more organised, and more efficent at the end of the day.

    Eric.
